We improve both the access to care and the quality of care for people who have trouble getting to a doctor’s office, and we try to prevent the need for hospitalizations by providing house calls. Our patients enjoy first-rate health care in the comfort of their own home.

Bay Area House Call Physicians started in February 2006 to improve access to medical care for elderly and disabled patients in the Bay Area. The founder, Dr. David Jones, has worked hard to build a better practice model.

Dr. David Jones was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After completing medical school and residency training in Internal Medicine, he began working as a hospitalist. He soon noticed how many people could have avoided the hospital if they had timely access to quality care, and this prompted him to start making house calls to provide care for elderly, disabled, or home-bound patients. After working for several years both in hospitals and patients’ homes, he saw the difference that house calls can make and decided to establish a house call based practice – Bay Area House Call Physicians.
